The primary mission of The Hotchkiss Record is to record the history of events and people at Hotchkiss and the surrounding community. The Record aims to provide a platform that uplifts community members’ voices and faithfully and comprehensively chronicles life of the school.

As an organization comprised of students, The Record endeavors to educate staff members about the standards and ethics of professional journalism. We strive to provide the most accurate and comprehensive information possible, and aim to make our operating procedures as transparent as possible.

The Hotchkiss Record does not discriminate against anyone on the basis of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, national origin, citizenship, gender, ability, or age.
