Aidan Garrett ’25
Aidan Garrett ’25 is a postgraduate running back from Mitchellville, Maryland.
Garrett started playing football at the age of four. He said, “I watched football on TV one day and wanted to play. I started loving it.”
When asked why he chose Hotchkiss, Garrett said, “It was because of Coach Dempsey Quinn. I came here on Revisit Day and it seemed like a place I wanted to play.”
Garrett hopes to play in college next year. He said, “I just want to be the best that I can be. I hope I can help the team improve from last season.“

Cannon Farrer ’27
Cannon Farrer ’27 is a soccer recruit from Kentucky.
Farrer plays winger and started playing soccer when he was six.
Farrer said, “I chose to come to Hotchkiss because I loved the facilities and the teachers seem eager to help you improve. I think the soccer team is strong and that the chemistry is high between the players. I am also excited to explore other sports that I have not played as much.”
He plans on playing squash in the winter and joining track and field in the spring.

Maggi Stoffel ’26
Maggi Stoffel ’26 is an Upper Mid from Berlin, Germany. She will play forward on Varsity Field Hockey. Stoffel said, “My favorite thing about field hockey is the team spirit. I am looking forward to winning this season.
She has been playing field hockey since she was five years old. Her connection to the school runs deep, as her sisters and mother are all alums.
She said, “In Germany, it is customary to play field hockey all year round, but I also want to play ice hockey and lacrosse this year.”

Sloane Lynyak ’28
Sloane Lynyak ’28 is a Prep from New York City and outside hitter for the volleyball team. She has five years of competitive experience in school and at the club level as a former varsity starter and regional select team member, respectively.
Lynyak said, “Hotchkiss is an incredible school with amazing academic opportunities. The thing I loved most when I visited campus was the vibrant and welcoming community filled with motivated students from all over the world.”
