On December 18, the Boys Varsity team traveled to the Barclays Center, home of the Brooklyn Nets, to play Andover. The Bearcats played a close game and pulled through with a win, ending 67-57. This is the team’s third time playing at Barclays Center and coming home with a win. This win was the third of the week for the team, who also won two other games during their BasketBull HoopsFest showcase event. On December 15, the team dominated the Canada Top Flight team with a 65-42 win and then fought a tight game against Winchendon with a 52-51 win on December 16.

Head Coach Yassine Talhaoui added that this was a memorable experience for the team and the players appreciated being able to play in a professional arena. He said, “Playing in the heart of Brooklyn at the Barclays Arena against high level competition in front of family, friends, and alumni before an actual NBA game was a remarkable experience for all. This new tradition has proven to be an outstanding team building experience and has brought families and alumni together from all over. The alumni reception following the game did not only allow us to celebrate the win against Andover, but more importantly provided a beautiful forum for connection. I am truly grateful for everyone who helped make this event possible for the team and our program.”
