Seniors Host Annual Carnival
On Sunday, September 19, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, the class of 2022 hosted the annual Senior Carnival, which provided the school community with a variety of attractions including food and t-shirt stands, inflatable obstacles, and a mechanical bull. Despite the cancellation of last year’s carnival due to COVID restrictions, the Senior Carnival is a yearly tradition organized by the Senior class in the fall. This year, Senior class presidents Cooper Roh ’22 and Lydia Bullock ’22, with the help of the Senior class council, planned and promoted the event. To fundraise, class council member Isabel Su ’22 designed Senior Carnival t-shirts, which the class council sold for $15. After a challenging year impacted by COVID, Roh said, “The goal for the Senior class this year is to bring back many of the traditions and spirit that comes with a normal year at Hotchkiss.” The Senior Carnival is just the beginning of a return to traditions that show the cultivation of connection, spirit, and energy of Hotchkiss.
